October this year sees two key meetings in the Western United States for those of us involved in lake management.
From October 15 through the 17th, the Washington Lakes Protective Association and the Oregon Lake Association will be holding their first joint meeting in Vancouver, Washington at the Hilton Inn. This meeting should draw lake management professionals and citizens from throughout the Region. The program looks to be excellent and can be viewed at http://www.oregonlakes.org/Events?eventId=631940&EventViewMode=EventDetails Aquatechnex manager Terry McNabb will be presenting during the Aquatic Weed School on Wednesday as well as presenting a paper on Operational Use of Phoslock in the Western United States. He will also be presenting information from NALMS at some point in the conference.
The North American Lake Management Society will also be held in our region this year. NALMS will be meeting in San Diego from October 30th through November 1st. Aquatechnex manager Terry McNabb will be taking on the role of President for the 2013-2014 year as well as presenting papers on Phosphorus Sequestation. This should be an excellent meeting and all are encouraged to attend.
