The Sanders County Commissioners signed a contract to retain Aquatechnex biologists to support their Eurasian Milfoil Control Program on the Clark Fork River’s Noxon and Cabinet Gorge Reservoirs. Last summer our team was selected as teh most qualified respondent to their RFP to document the location and extent of Eurasian Milfoil and Curly Leaf Pondweed infestations, develop treatment maps and document the efficacy of their herbicide treatments.
This summer our team will be scouting suspected areas where Eurasian Milfoil may occur outside the range of previous survey work, map areas and help prioritize them for treatment when found and to collect per and post treatment data to assess control results. We will be using a combination of hydro-acoustic mapping systems, DGPS and ArcGIS equipment and Aerial Shoreline Analysis Technology.
This is a beautiful part of the Country to work in and we look forward to another year of supporting this important program.
