Survey, Monitoring and Detection
On larger lake systems, understanding the geography of aquatic plant problem is critical. Aquatechnex has pioneered the use of remote sensing, Differential Global Positioning System and Geographic Information System technologies in lake and aquatic plant management. We have the tools necessary to find and map infestations early, fully understand the scope of your problems, design effective response and track the progress of your program over time.

Invasive species management
One of the greatest threats to our lakes are invasisve aquatic weeds. Plants like Eurasian Milfoil, Hydrilla and Brazilian Elodea can choke your water body. Dense infestations stop boats dead in the water, are a threat to the safety of swimmers and degrade the aquatic environment. Aquatechnex is considered to be one of the leading experts in the management of these invasive species in the United States. Our biologists are regularly request to assist local, state and federal agencies solve problems posed by these pests. We can help you prevent them from impacting your lakes. Call the office nearest you and discuss your concerns with one of our biologists.

Support for Research and Operations

Aquatechnex biologists are regular participants in local, state and federal aquatic plant control research programs. Our team has provided support services for the US Army Corps of Engineers Aquatic Plant Control Research Program, the US Bureau of Reclamation Environmental Services Program, and states such as Washington, Minnesota and Florida. We have also been requested to provide our expertise in the design of statewide or regional programs to manage invasive aquatic species.
